Pretty cool!

I'm seeing more and more games like these that push pretty close to true RTS-styled gameplay, and they keep getting better. This one is no exception.

Great sound effects, excellent graphics, and I like the management of your units. Also, I am especially digging the morale scale. It all adds to a highly playable experience that leaves me wanting to come back and play it again later on.

Well done!

Not bad

Considering it's in Flash 4... Hell, I remember how terrible Flash 5 was. And ActionScript wasn't even a real language until Flash 5. So this must've been like trying to program with both hands tie behind your back.

That said, and the fact that this game is nearly ten years old, you did pretty well!

Pretty cool

I like the graphics and the style of gameplay. However, the guy seems to have a sliding problem when he lands. I jumped forward, landing next to a barrel, and sliding right through it. Still needs some more work, but you're definitely moving in the direction.

Pretty good!

The control is decent, the graphics are nice, and it seems to function just fine! Only thing I would change is the music loop. It's way too short.

Beyond this demo, however, add some opponents and different race tacks, and this is definitely a keeper.

SPECTACULAR!

Swain, you are a genius. I know this was in the making for some time, and it was definitely worth the wait. You've done it again.

There's so much to this game, I don't where to start. Well, the graphics are awesome, the voice acting is top-notch, the missions are cool, and the different resources are need additions. All in all, an excellent game to work with. I especially enjoyed the wit of the guy on the tutorial level.

5/5! 10/10! I'm definitely putting this at the top of my favorites. Well done, Swain. And thank you!

Pretty cool

I like the way the maze is constantly moving with your mouse, makes it more challenging when trying to hit those tight corners. And the "no cheat" is definitely a nice feature. Good job!

OOO!

This is pretty cool. I like the particle effects, and the different customizers. The frame rate's nice, and the use of a color palette makes for some awesome eye candy. Definitely an improvement over v1.

Animequis responds:

i think the frame rate is a bit shabby, and the particles DOES flicker a bit.
i tried fixing it but i cant find out what's causing this

Very cool.

I like the graphics, the smoothness of the rate, and the progressive challenge. However, I did notice its a bit glitchy when drop through the holes sometimes. The ball gitters around again.

Still, excellent game. Add some music, and this would definitely work out perfectly!

PylonGames responds:

Thank you, your opinion is valued. I tried to implement a media control component that I developed earlier this month, however after the MochiAd encryption got ahold of it, it was no longer functional. I decided that no music was better than music that could not be muted.

NES version IS better, but...

Well, let's be honest! This is in F&#%ing Flash. Well done on the getting the mechanics down right. And you made the enemies smart enough to gang up on you, and to go pick up weapons dropped from their friends. Very cool! I could stand to learn a thing or two from you.

Now, there some flaws, but they're rather minor.

1. I didn't care for the blood. RCR was a comical beat-em-up - you don't the gore to make it a good game.
2. Why isn't Alex wearing a school uniform like the others. He's a student too, isn't he. And for that matter, where's Ryan? Make the player able to choose.
3. Too short. He he! Truth is, I liked what I saw, but it was not enough. At least throw in the first shopping center.

All of that said, very excellent demo. I know it's over 3 years old, but I hope you plan on making another.

An excellent Ka-Boom! clone

The frame rate is nice, the difficulty has a good progression, and the graphics are cool. I especially like how you took the effort to subtly show the player where their mouse pointer is at all times, and the pause feature (when you roll off) is a very nice touch. All my 5s definitely belong to this!
