Wow!

I think GrandpaFargo summed it up pretty well. Short and simple game. I was honestly expecting more, but I'm fine with what I got out of it. There certainly was a lot unexplained - like the meteors - but that added to it, I think.

Very clever!

First off, I love the retro feel. Imagine if there was a game like this back in the NES heyday! Love the leveling system - gives you some thought in planning your strategy for the next level.

The short time of the game is a nice challenge, but does annoy me sometimes. That's a personal opinion, though, and not something that should stop others from enjoying it. I also gotta love where when I max out the exp. levels and watch a game unfold like a time-lapsed Resident Evil game. :)

5/5, 10/10. Added to favorites. Good lead-up to the Infectonator, World Dominator title.

Nice! A hexic clone.

I like it. The mechanics are clean, the music and sound effects add to the atmosphere, and the art looks really polished. Only gripe, I'd say, is the lack of ability to rotate the other way - like Hexic. But, overall, a solid piece of work. :)

Very slick!

First thing I want to say is that the graphics are amazing. They really carry the retro feel to them, and feel to be on par with the old Neo Geo arcade titles. The music helps, as well, and the sound effects come across very clear and benefit the game. It's true that merging keyboard steering with mouse aiming can be a bit tricky to pick up. But given the nature of the game, there's really no way around it, is there?

5/5, 10 stars, and added to my favorites. Great job. :)

It's alright

I've seen this kind of game done before. You did alright with your rendition of it - it's certainly playable. The graphics are alright, and the pacing works just fine.

Only thing I have to wonder about is a lack of a jump button? The map looks like its created at random, with several powerups and coins in locations I can even reach because of how the map gets split up. Maybe that's just me.

Oh well, I'd say let this one pass through. :)

More like Mind Fc*k!

I gotta be honest, when I first tried this game, it freaked me out a bit. The haunting soundtrack, the drastically distorted voice, the story... And that face constantly talking to you. It was a bit unsettling, to say the least.

Then, there's the "Enter the Unknown" option. When you consider that the difficulty of the game is reflected SOLELY on community interaction - from creating the maps to voting which ones should enter the mix in what order - this game has become more than just a little mind trip. It's become a community experience - something that I definitely found missing when I tried this out on the Kongregate servers.

All told, creepy or not, you have made a geniously brilliant game here. Well done! 5 stars, 10/10, and added to Favorites. I hope your next one will be every bit as unique.

Not digging this...

I hate to crap all over this game, but it feels like Silver Surfer on the NES. One hit, everything kills you - EVERYTHING!? The save Eggs are an interesting concept, but really the overall difficulty makes the game unenjoyable instead of challenging.

In the end, though, I don't like it. I will give you points on a workable game, and the rhythm style you used for the game's pacing. But even that feels a little cheap, as it becomes more of an unenjoyable game of Memory, with no REAL challenge.

A sellout? F*** that noise!

First off! Ben, I'm glad to see a new chapter in the series finally roll around. The first game was so claustrophobic and unsettling. The second even more so, but you gave the player a means to face the threat of the horde. And I have anticipated this new chapter for some time. I can't believe I'm getting around to it so late.

Second, this was a very good game. Picks up where the second one ended off, and your character is even more powerful in his mission. I've enjoyed the development of the character as the series moves along. Great graphics, nice use of music and sound effects. Load time was a bit staggering for me, but whatever. A minor setback, and it only built the suspense more. :)

Finally, to those of you whining and complaining about this guy 'selling out' - or bitching because it's a 'DEMO' - nice way to pay tribute to a great series, you losers. Three years of work on a project (and it shows), and all he wants is to see something in return for the time invested. If I were in his position, I'd do the same thing. A pat on the back doesn't pay the bills. And so what if it's a demo? I've seen other demos on Newgrounds.

Hell, I enjoyed the demo, so I just shelled out the $19 for the full version. Excellent work, Ben. I for one appreciate the effort you've put into this series.

Brrrrrrrrriiiiiliant work!

Great humor, great gameplay (interesting mini games), and the music was pretty good. Definitely had a good time with this one. I can't wait until the next one. Great job!
