Awesome game

First of all, I am a big fan of shooter games. What you've made here is easily on par with titles like Raiden or the 19xx series.

The graphics were nice, the game was definitely very colorful. I liked several of the effects that you used - particularly the 'transition' into the second level - good work on the cloud effects there. And, of course, MaestroRage's skills in the audio department are always a treat to listen to. I definitely enjoyed the lack of any other sounds in the game - nothing to distract from the rest of the game.

Finally, all around it's enjoyable. Not too difficult, and you get more than a fair share of lives to last you through the five minutes. The medals are tricky to get, but that the point, isn't it? This game makes you work for them for a change.

Great game all around. 5/5, 10/10. Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks alot for the indepth review. I really appreciate that you felt that strong connection to the genre as that's what we were all aiming for. Glad you enjoyed it :)

Challenging!

Definitely a game that makes you think. Starts off simple enough, then it throws you a bit of a curve ball as more challenges get added.

The music was a bit annoying after a while, but all in all, this was a good game. Kinda like Wario Ware's mini games on steroids.

Pretty decent!

It was a good challenge, the levels were well put together, and overall, I really liked it. I was, however, disappointed that you didn't throw in a level with a "barrier" building on BOTH sides. That, and the fact that the last level was way too easy compared to some of the earlier challenges, are the only real improvements I'd recommend.

Personally, I found the music to be a bit OK, but not something I'd loop longer than I had to. To the reviewer below me: you know there's a MUTE button in the top right, don't you. User oversight is NOT a valid excuse for shitting on a game, good or bad.

Anyway, good game. Another example of the creativity you guys at Armor Games dish out. :)

Brilliant!

Although it was definitely short, this was a very good game. The point and click elements were keep to a basic. You laid out the interactable points of the environment, rather than just leaving the user to click madly about the screen to find that one "magic" pixel that turns the key. Of course, those games are fun too, but your method of doing things doesn't detract from the genre.

Slick graphics, a catchy tune, and clever animation - liked the part with the sentry bot and the crane. :)

Keep it up - hope to see more like this in the future. BTW, the story was great, too.

You finally added medals!

Love this game. I first played it back around the time Fancy Pants was added. Very solid game.

- Great soundtrack
- Cool gameplay
- Great selection of characters

On top of that, it's cool that you kept adding new content to keep it fresh - Hank, Nevada map, Mr. Fancy Pants, and now the medals. SCORE! This game definitely deserves it's high score, and it's definitely on my favorites. Hope to see another one like this in the future. What more can you say? :)

Solid game!

You've made a real good one here, MC. The graphics are very cool, the music selection sets the moods, the medals aren't TOO hard to unlock, and the game overall was a good difficulty.

To those of you complaining about how hard it is, consider this: 1. Look at the size of the life bar. Isn't that enough? 2. Did you even see the controls on the main menu? 3. Did you read the Tips in the Author Comments above? This isn't that difficult a game. Only trouble I had (and still have) is getting down the timing for the Mary Poppins medal. I got FIVE hits, then the "Samus Ball" disappeared. WTF?

5/5, 10/10, added to Favorites. This is a very cool addition to the website!

MindChamber responds:

you have to time the bounce on the robots head, its really small window.

Glad you liked the game.

Solid game!

This is a fresh approach to the concept of programming. Each level builds the player up towards executing some very tricky 'recursion logic.' I really enjoyed it. Level 10, in particular, was a real pain in the butt! :)

The only suggestion I could make would be to set up medals for completing the game in as few moves as possible - there really is nothing else you can do to polish this game up. Oh, and some more levels. I hope to see a sequel to this in the near future. Very creative. Definitely original. 5/5, 10/10! This one is going in my Favorites.

Holy Cannoli!

First of all, I love a good point n' click game. Takes me back to the Myst days, and you made this game a real solid one at that.

Second, the graphics during the gameplay are quite nice. The atmosphere you added to the sound, not to mention that you have someone to work with, instead of just some dummy locking you in a closet and letting you click every pixel of the screen to figure out what to do next.

Third, and most obviously... F*%$ing amazing intro cutscene. What did you use to make that? Swift3D, Blender? And definitely loved the music you chose. It definitely fit the atmosphere of ship about to go to pieces.

5/5, 10/10. I've added this to my favorites, and I'll definitely check out all of your other stuff. Excellent work!

Solid game!

The graphics were excellent, the gameplay simple, and the level design was unique. It was a bit short, but satisfying, and a nice addition to the Pico Day Collection.

I'd give it a perfect 10, except that for some reason the "Polygonal Victory" medal won't unlock, even though I've beaten the game several times and unlocked the other medals.

Joelasticot responds:

Thanks. The medals not working are due to problems with the medal API. If you see the medal pop-up in the game, it means my code is right. If it isn't unlocked in your profile, I'm sorry but there is nothing I can do about it.

Wow!

Matt, you've definitely done it again. I don't even know where to to start. I'll try this:

The graphics were great, the summon animations were cool (love Canti's swing :3), the music and sound effects were top-notch, and in general, all of the elements of a classic RPG were present, in spades! Definitely a must-play.

And the Medals only add to the challenge. 5/5, 10/10! Rock on!!! Can't wait to see the next great project.
